Who we are

What we collect

When you fill out a form on this site (property enquiries, home valuations, listing alerts, The Vancouver Report signup, or development registrations), we collect the information you provide. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, property details, and preferences such as budget or bedroom count.

We also use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which collect standard usage data through cookies, such as pages visited, approximate location, device type, and how you found the site. The Meta Pixel may also be used to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms and to measure ad performance. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you to us.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, arrange showings, and provide the real estate services you request
• To mail you The Vancouver Report if you subscribe, which is why we ask for your mailing address
• To send occasional market updates, new listing alerts, and real estate insights where you have consented
• To understand how the website is used so it can be improved

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate this site and deliver what you asked for, and where required by law or by the rules of a real estate transaction you are part of.

Service providers

Form submissions are processed by Formspree. The site is hosted on Netlify, images are delivered by Cloudinary, appointment booking is provided by Calendly, analytics by Google, and advertising measurement by Meta. Each of these providers may process data on servers outside of Canada, including in the United States, and each maintains its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option, and you can opt out of the printed magazine or any communication at any time by emailing harrison@soldbypeers.com
• You can browse this site without submitting any form; no form is required to view content
• You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, which limits analytics and pixel collection, and you can manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements that apply to real estate brokerages in British Columbia

Retention and security

Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by the Real Estate Services Act and brokerage record-keeping obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used to protect it, though no internet transmission is completely secure.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
